1943 to 1945 era collection of love letters between Sergeant George H. Brothers, Jr. of Company A, 42nd Tank Battalion, 11th Armored Division to his wife Bessie M. (Pesek) Brothers in Chicago, Illinois with most of the letters sent from Camp Berkeley, Texas or Camp Cooke, California; along with newspaper clippings, a double wedding photograph and a signed 1941 letter from Chicago mayor Edward J. Kelly; Sgt. Brothers died in 1945 of leukemia and served from 1941 to 1945
