c.1880; eleven piece set, hand-hammered silver plate having elaborate silver soldered copper appliques representing flowers, animals and human figures executed in naturalistic Japanese inspired style; including coffee pot, teapot, water pitcher, creamer, covered sugar, covered tea caddy, small under plate, lidded butter, waste bowl, salt and pepper shakers; all marked on underside “Gorham Co. Silver Soldered”, some having an anchor hallmark and some marked “0660”

Condition: Very Good, overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; tarnished; loose end lifting on woven bamboo wrapping of teapot handle; light wear to plating on feet; no other damage noted
