Late 19th century Northern European, hunt motif lidded vessel having a figural finial depicting a Medieval garbed hunter posed over a slain boar, stag head handles, low relief decoration throughout having applied high relief stag heads within unengraved panels at front and back, resting on four paw feet, possibly marked with crown and flag to the underside
