English Mahogany Chest of Drawers

c.1765, having mahogany veneers throughout, oak secondary wood, a pull-out writing surface over four graduated dove-tail drawers having figured mahogany fronts, brass pulls and keyholes, all supported on bracket feet

Dimensions: Height: 32 1/4 inches, Width: 34 1/2 inches, Depth: 20 1/2 inches

Condition: Good, overall light to moderate wear consistent with normal use, scuffs and scratches throughout, one brass pull replaced, all locks but one removed, writing surface lacks leather insert and sticks when closing, a stain and a filled 0.5-inch drilled hole in top, a dip in top veneer running full length and a similar dip in veneer of right side due to slight warping of underlying boards, splits to drawer bottom boards
