RCA Victor Special Portable Phonograph
c.1935, designed by John Vassos (Romanian / American 1898-1985), chrome-plated steel, aluminum and plastic, single speed 78rpm crank operated turntable having a fold-out crank, built in speaker, volume control on the side, ‘Slow / Fast’ settings for pitch adjustment, spring-closing hinged-lidded compartments marked ‘New Needles’ and ‘Used Needles’ containing needles, storage rack in lid for records; designed for playing while closed, having an ‘off’ button on exterior side

Condition: Good, overall light wear consistent with normal use, some light scratches, crank operates smoothly, turntable operates but will require leveling due to a slight wobble, a latch requires effort to close properly
