Undated, signed lower left, interior genre scene depicting a grandmother and grandchild, in a bronze-tone wood and plaster frame, having pierced corners and protruding floral motif throughout

Frame Size: 19 inches by 16 1/2 inches
Condition: Fair, overall moderate wear consistent with age, painting having undergone restoration including possible relining and few areas of inpainting with the majority concentrated around lower portion of chair, signature itself blacklights well, with a 0.25-inch area of inpainting to background adjacent to and partially within the ‘U’ of the signature, fine craquelure overall including evidence of lifting and areas of possible prior losses present, 0.25-inch impact mark to chair back upper right quadrant resulting in some minor pigment loss, few occasional lighter scuffs resulting only in slight varnish inconsistencies, stretcher pushing lower edge of canvas slightly outward, light dirt accumulation, light wear to frame including repairs and refinishing
