Rudolstadt Volkstedt and Sitzendorf Porcelain Monkey Band Figurine Assortment

(13) polychrome enamel and gilt items including (8) examples by Rudolstadt Volkstedt, each having underglaze blue crown ‘AEV 1762’ mark as well as incised #V20213, #V20228, #V20223, #V20225, #V20219, #V20227, #V20217 and #V20214 to underside and (5) by Sitzendorf, each having underglaze blue crown ‘S’ mark with one having an additional encircled ‘Germany’ marked to underside

Provenance: the Estate of Solomon ‘Fred’ Spector, violinist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1956-2003

Property from: The Fred and Estelle Spector Estate, Chicago (Lincoln Park), Illinois

Height: 6 1/4 inches, Width: 3 1/8 inches, Depth: 2 5/8 inches (V20213, conductor (largest))

Condition: Very Good, overall light wear consistent with normal use, aside from a few, sporadic areas of minute, less than 0.25-inch areas of glaze inconsistency, V20214 having approximately 0.25-inch long porcelain firing flaw in porcelain where right side of dress meets base, resulting in appearance of a hairline-width separation which does not appear to be the result of an impact, no other condition issues noted, light dirt accumulation throughout
