Biedermeier Abattant Secretary
Having figured maple veneers, inlaid bone escutcheons (a key present), dovetailed drawers without pulls including a full width drawer below the in-curving cove-mold cornice and three full width drawers below the drop front which opens upon sixteen small dovetailed drawers having turned bone pulls and two secret drawers having ebonized arch fronts flanking a central inlaid door, the drop front and two lower drawers flanked by columns having ebonized capitals and plinths above ebonized block feet

Condition: overall light to moderate wear consistent with normal use, occasional splits to veneer at joins (some filled), scratches and scuffs, most locks work but the top drawer lock was changed and that key is missing (lock open) and the interior door is locked shut, drop front lock sticks with a pivoting latch added at upper left by the column
