Eleven items including two wood and a metal painted shadow puppets and eight hand puppets having carved and painted wood heads / extremities and ornate fabric and beaded clothing; together with two Indonesian woven splint hobby horses, splint construction on a bamboo support, both painted and having horsehair manes and tails, strung seeds and fabric attachments
Condition: Good to Fair, overall moderate to heavy wear consistent with age and normal use; all puppets having nicks, chips and scuffs with paint loss; a shadow puppet having detached and broken arm and detached arm controls; seven hand puppets having detached heads, possibly by design; a hand puppet missing a hand and a foot; clothing on all hand puppets having stains, tears and loose / missing decoration overall; broken strings of seed beads with loss; a horse having a bent ear; horses having scuffs with areas of paint loss overall
