Having a compass marked ‘Thomson’ housed in a brass bell shaped top with gaslight chamber and map cylinder sitting on top of a mahogany base with three compartments; black arms having round port and starboard weights
Condition: Good, restored; we cannot guarantee all pieces to be original, gas light chamber dented, cylinder dented and having a broken brass strap, 1-inch hole on brass edge, 1-inch piece of rolled brass edge missing; piece having been modified from gas to electric, tested working; we cannot guarantee the operation or longevity; compartments on wood screwed closed; 3-inch crack on side by arm, paint chipping on arms and weights
