Spanish Colonial ‘Anima Sola’ Wood Santos
(4) items including (3) mid-19th century carved and painted figures of ‘lonely souls’ depicted engulfed in the flames of Purgatory and a weeping figure entitled ‘La Adultera’ at rear of base
Height: 10 1/4 inches, Length: 3 3/4 inches, Width: 4 3/4 inches (male figure)
Condition: Very Good, wood worm holes to undersides of larger ‘Anima Sola’ figure; crack in paint surface above breast of ‘La Adultera’; occasional small chips to paint surfaces, more so to smallest figure; overall light wear consistent with normal use
