Gothic Revival Carved Wood Altar

c.1918; naive altar model assembled from carved elements partially painted in gold and white, including an angel having wings outspread beneath the central spire, flanked by auxiliary spires above carved iconography, beneath which are (3) niches flanked by seraphim and separated by columns, all supported on the stepped altar having carved pontifical emblems and upon which rests a hinged tabernacle containing miniature wood chalice and plate; dated ‘1918’ twice and having additional emblems in gold-toned paint on reverse
