B.C.E. 100-300, Sultepec, Guerrero, Mexico, funerary mask having pierced temples; crafted of white tecalli / Mexican onyx; the reverse moderately hollowed out; mounted to a faded blue fabric board; provenance: Chicago, Illinois estate, purchased in 1965 from G. M. Echaniz, paid off in installments through 1966 to Mr. Echaniz’s widow Juileta de Echaniz
Condition: Very Good, overall light surface wear consistent with age
