Ormolu mounted slate case surmounted by avian finial, enamel Roman numeral dial marked ‘a Paris’ having two key ports, flanked by Egyptian style figures above a grotesque fountain head spewing a stream into a scallop shell flanked by two sphinxes, two affronted lions on the base supported on four feet, unmarked brass movement, pendulum present, as well as a pair of candlesticks and bobeches, 1974 invoices from Alex Janniche & Co., Copenhagen, Denmark giving an attribution of Lepine a Paris
