Hill Co., Chicago, 1900, having second state points including on p.2, the publisher’s advertisement having no box, p.14, line one beginning ‘low wail of’, p.81, fourth line from bottom having ‘pieces’, p.227, line one beginning ‘While The Woodman’, and the colophon being reset in thirteen lines having no box and having broken type in the last line of p.100 and p.186, as well as second state of plate facing p.34 and plate facing p.92, having twenty-four inserted color plates (including title), original light green pictorially stamped cloth having variant C publisher’s imprint at foot of spine in red in serifed type, the ‘C’ of ‘Co.’ encircling the ‘o’, pictorial paste down endpapers (issued without free endpapers)
