19th century, hexagonal form with ebony inlay to each angled edge and corner, the planes of the box with elaborate floral, foliate, and scrolling decoration formed from bits of rolled polychrome paper, the hinged lid opening to reveal a single compartment with fitted lid bearing further rolled paper decoration and a black ring handle, center plane depicts yound girl in hat
Condition: Very Good, box is locked and key may be inside, one ebony corner is broken off and a little paper design is missing, overall moderate wear consistent with age and normal use
