Two items wood stands, by Charles François Delamarche after Didier Robert de Vaugondy (French, 1723-1786) having applied paper on fabricated wood construction, both having zodiac and calendar markers; terrestrial globe marked ‘À Paris / Chez l’auteur / Rue du Jardinet, n°13 / Quartier St. André / des Arts, 1808’
Condition: Good, polar calotte lacking on terrestial globe; overall moderate wear consistent with age and normal use; both having chips to applied paper overall and dark, discolored graphics; one having a repaired break to cradle and cracks to one side of globe sphere
