(2) examples of Arkansas / Mississippian pottery including a dog vessel having painted red and white interlocking spiral decoration outlined in black faded to gray and a recumbent deer effigy bottle of shell-tempered tan pottery having red and cream slip decoration
Condition: Very Good, surface irregularities typical of hand made pottery; firing cracks behind neck and on underside at legs of dog; abrasions to ears and tail / spout of dog; wear and fading of paint; abrasions at lip of deer bottle; overall light wear consistent with normal use
