Roberto Matta (Chilean, 1911-2002) ‘Je Fixe des Vertiges’ Etching and Aquatint
1977, pencil initialed ‘M’ having surrounding marks lower right, abstract surrealist image from the ‘Saison en Enfer’ portfolio, in a linen mat behind glass in a silver-tone wood frame, the backing board fenestrated to reveal a gift inscription to sheet, verso, from a purchaser to a friend; together with a Georges Rouault (French, 1871-1958) color etching ‘Parade’ frontispiece to the 1934 portfolio ‘Cirque de L’Etoile Filante’, printed date and signature, matted behind glass in a wood frame
