World War II German Army Lion Head Sword by Alcoso
Having 30.5-inch blade with ‘Alcoso Solingen’ and scale with interspersed ‘AWS’ mark on ricasso, gilt brass hilt retaining leather buffer pad, Wehrmacht eagle on langet, florals on guard and backstrap, wire-wrapped grip with lion / panther head pommel having faceted red stone eyes, leather and fabric portepee and scabbard having black finish and single suspension ring

Length: 37 1/8 inches (including scabbard)
Condition: Very Good, overall light wear consistent with normal use; blade having occasional light scuffs and scratches, some areas of light surface discoloration mostly concentrated on the lowermost 1/3 of blade, nickel plating free of any major rust or deep pitting, some darkening of finish on hilt throughout, light wear to leather on portepee, occasional scuffs and scratches to scabbard but maintaining majority of black finish
