World War II German Army Lion Head Sword by Eickhorn
Having 31.75-inch blade with Carl Eickhorn ‘seated squirrel’ mark on ricasso, gilt brass hilt retaining leather buffer pad, having ‘D.R.P.’ stamp, Wehrmacht eagle on langet, florals on guard and backstrap, wire-wrapped grip with lion / panther head pommel having faceted red stone eyes; scabbard having black finish and single suspension ring; together with black fabric sword storage and carry bag having Wittmann logo

Length: 37 3/4 inches (including scabbard)
Condition: Very Good, overall light wear consistent with normal use; aside from runner marks blade having only minimal wear concentrated between point and top of fuller, nickel plating free of any rust or pitting, hilt having occasional areas of darkening, slightly loose wire in a single segment of grip, scabbard having crazing to finish throughout with minimal minor scuffs, retaining vast majority of finish
