1869, dated on frame plaque, signed lower left, interior genre scene including a mother and child in gilt gesso frame having plaque including artist name and date, having conservator label on reverse

Condition: Good, overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; painting having undergone professional conservation by Barry Bauman’s The Chicago Conservation Center in 1997 including cleaning, relining, re-stretching and re-varnishing with some inpainting around edges; fine craquelure throughout without lifting or flaking; light dirt accumulation; light wear to frame
