(6) volumes comprising early English translations published by Henry G. Bohn, London 1850-1860, including (5) volume ‘Cosmos’ and ‘Views of Nature: or Contemplations on the Sublime Phenomena of Creation’; uniformly half-bound calf over marbled boards, all edges and end-papers marbled; ‘Views’ having a color frontispiece; together with Ovid’s ‘Epistolarum Heroidum Liber’ published by Bonwick, Nicolson and Newborough, London, 1702 having full paneled calf binding

Condition: Good, overall moderate wear consistent with normal use and age; all spine titles darkened but readable; ‘Cosmos’ having chips to spine ends, splits to hinges, losses to spines volumes #1 and #4, a detached portion present #1; ‘Views’ having a pulled spine top; rubber stamps of name; Ovid having detached front board and end-papers; losses to tooled tulip designs at corners of blind stamped panels on boards; name to end-paper
