Shima Seien (Japanese, 1892-1970) ‘Heroine Yugiri’ Woodblock Print
c.1924, signed upper left, depicting a courtesan including an elaborate hair piece having areas of ‘bokashi’ shading; together with (3) Japanese prints including a collotype after Eshin-Sodzu depicting an apparition of the Buddha; a reprint of Hiroshi Yoshida ‘Fujiyama from Miko’; and a print depicting a female figure sitting on an architectural structure with a blossoming tree in the foreground
