c.1961, (2) walnut chairs having custom upholstered wool cushions; including copy of correspondence with George Nakashima referencing purchase
Provenance: purchased from George Nakashima in late 1960 or early 1961; with the original owner since purchase
Property from: a Crystal Lake, Illinois collector
Height: 30 1/2 inches, Width: 30 1/4 inches, Depth: 32 1/4 inches (each chair)
Condition: Very Good, light surface wear overall; several areas of nicks, most notable on the left rear leg of a chair; slight sun fading to front right leg of a chair and lower side panel of other chair; a chair having red oil pencil writing on underside of plywood seat base; light staining and some spotting overall to the cushions; upholstery not original; light dust accumulation
