Frederick Goodall (English, 1822-1904) ‘Return from Mecca’ Ink on Paper
1881, signed lower right, depicting a family mounting a camel drinking from a trough, writing en verso; together with a George Luks graphite on paper drawing, estate stamped ‘Ex Coll Caroline Luks’ on left side, depicting a woman pushing a cart and a sketch of drums en verso, in a simple frame under glass on both sides; and a nude sketch signed ‘John’ in center right in a white simple frame
Property from: the Joshua B. Kind Trust. Joshua B. Kind was a Professor of Art History at Northern Illinois University, Northwestern University, and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago

Condition: Very Good to Good, light wear; some mat burning on Goodall, lower right corner ripped, tape residue on back; Luks having rough edges over all, en verso having a red 39 written on top right corner, overall discoloration near edges; John having dents on left side and staining under signature; light dirt accumulation; white frame missing piece
