Asian Jadeite Jade Lidded Urn
Archaic style, having engraved linear and floral decoration and rings suspended at legs and from the two mythic beast handles and lid, a freely turning ball carved within the lid’s finial; together with a fragmentary wooden Han Dynasty style guardian figure on stand and a Southeast Asian carved wooden mythical beast mounted to an acrylic stand
Condition: Good, three rings missing from lid, a fragment of one being present; chipped edge on a flange of lid; some edges and recessed surfaces imperfectly polished; earthen deposits in recesses; Han figure lacks arms and feet, worn facial features; other carving chipped and worn; overall moderate wear consistent with normal use
