Trumeau Gilt Mirror with Painted Roundel
19th century Louis XVI style carved and gilt framing elements, cornice and edge trim, mounted to a pale green painted support having framed and paneled reverse securing the mirror and providing access to the oil on board depiction of an amorous couple; property from a Chicago, Illinois collector
Condition: Very Good, small loss to carving at left stem of wreath framing roundel; chipping to painted support, lower right of wreath; 2-inch by 1-inch area of discolored and spotted silvering of mirror below left swag of frame and occasional other small dark spots; overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; not examined out of the frame
