Kehinde Wiley (American, b.1977) ‘Psyche Abandoned’ Oil on Linen
2014, signed en verso, depicting a female figure against a floral patterned backdrop; housed in a custom hand-carved wood frame; Roberts Projects and Robert and Triton gallery labels affixed en verso; provenance and exhibition history: an Oak Park collector; previously exhibited Los Angeles, Roberts Projects (formerly ‘Roberts and Triton’) ‘Kehinde Wiley: The World Stage: Haiti’, September 13 – October 25, 2014
Condition: Very Good, painting not examined out of the frame and edges are not visible under the frame; one small possible(approximately 2mm) area of dirt accumulation to the left of the hands on a flower; possible light surface scratch on right sleeve; painting was wrapped in plastic and stored in a cardboard shipping box for at least the last two years and possibly longer; frame has overall light surface wear and several small chips, most notable at the corners
