Chinese Ming Swatow Ware Bowl Assortment
Three examples of late Ming underglaze blue on white porcelain bowls for export to the Southeast Asian market; together with a Sawankhalok blue on white jar from Thailand
Condition: Very Good, glaze flaws and surface irregularities typical of these wares; largest bowl having kiln debris stuck to interior glaze; both large bowls having minor edge wear including the beginnings of hairlines; no other chips or cracks noted; glaze crackle occasionally stained; silvering of jar glaze due to prolonged burial; overall light wear consistent with age and normal use
