Undated; printed plate signature lower left, impression of print having the burr, velvety dark surrounding Jacob as he sleeps, the story in the Old Testament describes Jacob’s dream in which a ladder appears that stretches to the sky where he sees God, darkness provided by the burr accentuates by contrast the brightness of the vision and the message in the dream
Condition: Good, light dirt accumulation; no plate mark; likely cut down; frame having chipping on outer edge; not examined out of the frame
