Description
German Bisque Swivel Head Dolls
Two dolls including a twenty-two inch Cuno & Otto Dressel, 1789-1942, having bisque head mold #1912-4 Star, a swivel head, wig, blue sleep eyes, painted eye brows and lashes, an open mouth exposing five teeth and composite body; and a fifteen inch Belton-type doll having bisque head mold #7, a swivel head, wig, glass eyes, painted eyebrows and lashes, closed mouth, earrings and wood plus composite body
Condition: Very Good to Good, no chips or cracks to bisque heads noted; overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; wigs detached from both dolls; Cuno & Otto Dressel having over-glazed chips to underside of right forearm, finish loss on top leg ball joints, separation of seam at front of left foot and small stains to shoes; Belton-type doll having chipped glaze on hands and fingertips plus feet and toes, cracks on bottom of left foot, some paint loss at shoulder and upper leg ball joints, cracks to both sides of torso, cracks at collar and left shoulder and tears and stains to bloomers and shoes
