Three 19th century chairs of black lacquered papier mache having inset designs of mother of pearl, gold paintwork scrolling patterns overall; a near pair with shell shaped backs and one with a splat back and hand caned seat; all having slip seats upholstered in black velvet
Condition: Very Good to Good, overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; splat back chair damaged at lower right armrest and cracked on top edge; loose cushions
