Kato Shunto (Japanese, 1916-2005) Oribe Pottery Slab Platter
Late 20th century green glazed earthenware in original pawlonia wood box, signed on underside; together with four items including a turned wood lidded vessel on a tall foot having a painted dragon on the domed lid with floral decoration, a cookie mold having six auspicious symbols carved into the elongated wood block, a bowl having sides carved into four asymmetrical lobes and a bamboo brush washer carved to represent a hooped bucket
Condition: Very Good, green earthenware having a 5cm crack to right side and a very small scratch in one corner; overall light wear consistent with normal use, paint wear on canister
