Two-gallon cylindrical jug having rounded spout and applied handle, stamped ‘2 J. A. & C. W. UNDERWOOD FORT EDWARD, N.Y.’ having cobalt slip-trailed design of a crested bird with long tail, perched on a curling branch
Condition: Very Good, glaze flaws and surface irregularities typical of these wares; surface chip right of design; minor chip to underside near edge; no other chips or cracks noted; overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; please note: this lot came from a smoking house and a slight odor may be present
