Lyons Stoneware Jug and Lidded Crock
Cobalt slip decorated two-gallon jug stamped ‘J. FISHER LYONS, N.Y.’ having trailed slip inscription ‘H & Co. Auburn N.Y.’ and a lidded crock having applied lug handles and stamped ‘LYONS’
Condition: Very Good, glaze flaws and surface irregularities typical of these wares; repaired chips to lid and minor chipping of inner lip of crock; no cracks noted; overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; please note: this lot came from a smoking house and a slight odor may be present
