c.1850 two-gallon ovoid jug having semi-squared spout and ribbed handle, cobalt floral decoration and stamped ‘NORTON & FENTON BENNINGTON VT’ and a one-gallon cylindrical jug with squared spout having cobalt floral decoration and stamped ‘J. & E. FENTON, BENNINGTON, VT’
Condition: Very Good, glaze flaws and surface irregularities typical of these wares; minor rim chips to both jugs; no cracks noted; overall light wear consistent with age and normal use; please note: this lot came from a smoking house and a slight odor may be present
