Eastern Orthodox Icon Assortment

(3) items including depiction of St. Panteleimon having gold tone floral basma; St. George; and a triptych having Madonna and Child, all having inscriptions; together with (3) painted pages having scenes from the life of Christ

Provenance: The Estate of George ‘Yorgo’ Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1965-2000

Height: 9 inches, Width: 7 1/2 inches (sight, St. Panteleimon)

Frame Size: 12 inches by 10 1/2 inches

Condition: Good to Fair, overall light to moderate wear consistent with age, material and normal use; stress cracks in St. George panel and areas of pigment loss throughout; St. Panteleimon having few areas of pigment loss possibly due to friction with basma; triptych having slight warp that does not affect opening or closing; basma loose on panel; light scuffs and scratches throughout; dirt / debris accumulation
