(5) 16th to 18th century items including Virgil Solis (German, 1514-1562) ‘Busts of Three Kings and Three Queens’ etching, printed monogram upper center; Georg Pencz (German, 1500-1550) ‘Rhetoric’ engraving, printed monogram upper left; (attributed to) Pieter Bodding van Laer (Dutch, 1599-c.1641) ‘Woodgathering’ etching, unsigned; (after) Hans Holbein the younger (c.1497-1543) woodcut illustration pulled from ‘In Praise of Folly’; and (attributed to) Gabriel Perelle (French, 1604-1677) etching of a port scene, unsigned; all framed under glass
Provenance: The Estate of George ‘Yorgo’ Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1965-2000

Condition: Very Good, stain to ‘Rhetoric’ upper left corner, loose within the frame; discoloration to woodcut especially upper quadrant; all prints trimmed
