Twelve items including seven turned burl wood mortars, one having its pestle and one having a handle and spout, two footed cups, a mug, a small cup; together with a cast composite measuring cup having a tin handle bound on with wire marked on underside ‘UNITED INDURATED FIBRE CO. LOCKPORT, N.Y. U.S.A.’ and having tin label ‘C.& H. N.Y. SOLE AGENTS 1 QT. LIQ.’ and hanging tag ‘STATE OF MINN. RAILROAD & WAREHOUSE COMMISSION’ and ‘DEPT OF WEIGHTS & MEASURES APPROVED’
Condition: Very Good to Good, wooden objects except pestle all having short stable grain splits; edge losses to a few; overall light to moderate wear consistent with age and normal use; please note: this lot came from a smoking house and a slight odor may be present
